Hello and Welcome to Alex Brown's Benefit Year

It seemed like only yesterday that Alex Brown aka 'Browny' made the short trip up the M5 to start what has been an illustrious career at Gloucester. With over 234 appearances for Gloucester and 3 England caps to his name, Browny has been one of the most consistent performers in a cherry and white shirt, not to mention the Premiership.

A tactician in the line-out and a hard hitting wall in defence, he continually raises the mark for those around him. Being ideally nicknamed 'the salmon' due to his ability to rise above the others in claiming the ball.

His commitment and support on and off the field to Gloucester has been outstanding, working closely with the local community, sponsors and being a true role model to the younger players has made Alex somewhat of a father figure at the club. Browny is a true gentleman, a warm and humble guy always talking with fans and having a smile, which you can't miss due to his towering frame.

Supporting the Pied Piper and the RPA Benevolent Fund we hope to raise as much awareness and funds for these two extremely important charities which mean a great deal to Alex.
